Cuts and trims hair according to clients' instructions or current hairstyles, using clippers, combs, hand-held blow dryers, and scissors
Uses disinfectant according to the manufacturer's' instructions, which includes contact time, safety precautions, dilution requirements (if any), and proper disposal
Performs advanced shaving techniques such as the straight razor
Establishes and maintains external business relationships.
Applies lather and shaves beards or neck and temple hair contours, using razors
Wears gloves or uses tongs to avoid direct skin contact with the disinfectant and observe all safety precautions in the manufacturer's directions
Applies lotions and aftershave after shaving
Schedules customer appointments in person, or by telephone
Remains informed of the latest styles and hair care techniques.
Applies hot towels to the face to open pores
Applies knowledge of appointment scheduling software
