Required skills

Transports patients to and from treatment units, testing units, operating rooms, or other areas, using wheelchairs, stretchers, or moveable beds
Transfers patient or resident between bed, wheelchair, and stretcher
Transfers or repositions patient, including change position and/or turn patient or resident to prevent bed sores and ulcers
Follows the patient’s or resident’s plan of care
Feeds a patient or resident who cannot eat on their own
Maintains and responds to patient alarm systems
Provides physical comfort measures and basic restorative care
Recognizes and reports abnormal changes in patient’s condition or status
Records & documents patient medical information, following established protocols
