Required skills

Reads and interprets schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions
Inspects, measures, or tests completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices
Use precision measuring tools
Examines, measures, and weighs materials or products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as templates, micrometers, or scales
Convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.
Ability to perform basic math functions such as decimals, fractions, and formulas as needed to convert measurements and determine test results.
Use fractions in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Safe Over Head Crane operation
Drives forklift truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move materials in warehouse or factory
Perform basic setup and operation procedures used with a CNC turning machine
Performs routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
Checks all dies, templates, and cutout patterns to be used in the manufacturing process to ensure that they conform to dimensional data, photographs, blueprints, samples, or customer specifications
Adjusts machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances
Evaluates design drawings for new or changed tools by measuring dimensions on the drawings and comparing them with the original specifications
Cleans and maintains machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions
Keeps the duty station, tools, workbenches, and manual equipment clean and safe for work
Read a tape measure
