- Protects exterior corners by cutting and installing metal corner beads
- Coordinates work with drywall finishers who cover the seams between drywall panels
- Installs horizontal and vertical metal or wooden studs to frames so that wallboard can be attached to interior walls
- Seals joints between ceiling tiles and walls
- Mounts tile, using adhesives, or by nailing, screwing, stapling, or wire-tying lath directly to structural frameworks
- Nails channels or wood furring strips to surfaces to provide mounting for tile
- Measures, cuts, and fits the drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
- Fits and fastens board into specified position on walls, ceilings and soffits
- Uses PPE properly when handling materials
- Cuts openings into board for any and all penetrations
- Fastens metal or rockboard lath to the structural framework of walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings, using nails, screws, staples, or wire-ties
- Prepares wall surface (wallboard) by patching nail holes
- Cuts drywall to the right size, using utility knives and power saws
- Measures the location of electrical outlets, plumbing, windows, and vents
- Sprays materials, such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco, through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces
