- Oversees the final dress rehearsal to ensure production is ready for an audience
- Coordinates and directs the run-through process to ensure performers get the flow of the piece and to address issues
- Ensures performers limit body movements and maintain balance for frame quality
- Ensures production meets competitive goals and projects the intended brand image
- Deploys use of camera in any of several different mounts (static, hand-held, dolly, crane)
- Manage the set during shoot
- Plans the production budget, schedule and methods of delivery
- Determines the interpretation to be given to the piece
- Determines the ‘blocking’ of a scene in the rehearsal studio assisting actors, stage manager or cameraman in assessing how to shoot the scene when on set or how the performance stage will be utilized
