- Carries out interviews and determines whether client applications should be completed or deferred

- Trains clients and team members in device operation, adjustment, care, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes
- Provides rehabilitation interventions, and case coordination services using evidence-based information to support clients in achieving their goals

- Conducts client assessments using necessary documentation observations, interviews and other techniques
- Screens, analyzes, and evaluates medical, psychological, vocational, educational, employment, assessments, and other related information to ascertain client aptitude, interest, and abilities
- Partners with community agencies to organize and provide rehabilitative services
- Assess environmental factors e.g., behavioral, educational, personal assistance, physical, social, and supports in the environment pertaining to the use of the assistive technology
- Analyses client assessment information to identify barriers to employment and vocational implications
- Monitors client's rehabilitation and vocational progress
- Explains clients' rights and responsibilities using language and style suitable for the client
- Locates resources that help clients live and work more independently
- Facilitates job placement for clients
- Addresses issues such as rehabilitation crisis, relapse, and other challenges encountered by clients
- Applies a continuous improvement approach to transitional work programs
- Reviews referrals and consults with clients and other team members as needed to determine client needs and expectations
- Provides disability education and training to staff and stakeholders
- Explains application processes and eligibility to clients
- Offers testimonies at hearings (SSA and Compensations venues), and state and federal courts, applying federal and other required rules for vocational professionals
- Seeks assistance, as needed, to work with difficult and complex client cases
- Explains the rehabilitation process to clients
- Applies business-focused strategies and techniques to improve employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities
- Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their challenges
- Assesses client's physical or mental condition based on reviews of client's information
