Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join our team. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards
- Provide safety training to employees on various safety topics
- Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Maintain records of safety inspections, training, and incidents
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and make recommendations for improvements
Qualifications:
- Certification in OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards
- Field and Shop Audits must be something that has been done before
- Familiarity with compliance management in a industrial setting
- Strong understanding of risk management principles
- Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures
- Manage Safety Training Assignments and vetting systems
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels
