- Perform welding and soldering tasks to join metal components together
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding specifications
- Assemble and fabricate metal structures using various welding techniques
- Use rigging equipment and cranes to position and secure large metal pieces
- Perform pipe threading and welding for plumbing and construction projects
- Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure quality and accuracy
- Operate machinery and tools for cutting, grinding, and machining metal
- Use calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure precise measurements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder, with expertise in various welding techniques
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and safety procedures
- Ability to accurately measure and use calipers for precise welding work
- Familiarity with pipe threading techniques for plumbing applications
- Experience operating cranes and rigging equipment for large-scale projects
- Basic understanding of machining processes for metal fabrication
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
